Why REALTORS® Need CRMLS Training / MLS Training

Being a REALTOR® associated with the national trade association can carry a great number of benefits. These include upholding the standards of quality set forth by the association in order to make clients feel assured about doing business with you, as well as giving you access to information that you would otherwise not be able to use.

One of the greatest benefits available to members of their local board of REALTORS® is the capacity to create, manage and draw information from multiple listing services. These services provide REALTOR®-specific information about listings in regions where specific REALTORS® may not usually do business, offering them a unilateral compensation in return for the resold real estate service.

What Is CRMLS?

The California Regional Multiple Listing Service (CRMLS) is the nation’s largest multiple listing service, serving more 71,000 individual members. A REALTOR® with access to CRMLS has a platform that includes numerous tools essential to the regional realty trade at his or her fingertips.

Some of the products offered are:

  • Comparative market analysis;
  • Communication and electronic faxing;
  • International global listing exchanges;
  • Marketing tools and more.

Being the largest MLS in the United States, there is a wealth of data on properties and markets that can be accessed through CRMLS. This makes it an incredibly important platform for REALTORS® who would like to take their business to the next level and offer their services to extra-regional clients where they would normally be unable to do business.

Where To Get Training For These Systems

In order to receive the benefits of CRMLS for your real estate business, the National Association of REALTORS® is the best place to start. If you have already become a member, then contacting your local board of REALTORS® is the first step towards obtaining the training and licensing necessary to gain access to this important platform.

If you are not already a member of the trade association, or if you are a member of a different trade association, it is still possible. For instance, in 2010, the local Glendale Association of REALTORS® struck an agreement to provide CRMLS to their members – your association may be able to do the same.

If you have not yet become a member of a trade association, then the benefits of membership are waiting for you just around the corner. CRMLS is only one aspect of a full-fledged program that will help you build and grow your real estate business and gain the trust of new clients region-wide.

Your local board can provide you with the materials necessary for you to begin, and, in a short time, you can become a full-fledged REALTOR® with access to this information, as well as the ability and knowledge to use it effectively to help clients buy and sell their properties with you.

Investing the time necessary to for CRMLS training / MLS training in your region is a clear choice that any REALTOR® would be hard-pressed to find a reason not to take.
